Are You Eligible For Loan Consolidation
Parents are forced today to opt for different student loan options to help children complete their education. Especially during these tough economic times, students find themselves stuck with one or more student loans that they are unable to manage and pay every month. Federal loan consolidation was introduced to help students consolidate and bring all their student loans under one umbrella.
This direct loan consolidation is offered by the US Department of Education, to reduce strain for borrowers and streamline their loans into a single repayment program. Borrowers are offered extended repayment terms thereby reducing the amount they have to pay every month and making their budget manageable.
Students who have dropped before half-time, left school or have graduated can consolidate their Stafford loans. PLUS loans on the other hand can be consolidated after they have been disbursed completely. Direct loan consolidation repayment starts 60 days after the disbursal of loan.
Loans that are eligible for consolidation include the Student PLUS loans, Parent PLUS loans, unsubsidized and subsidized Stafford loans and Perkins loans. Eligibility does not take into account whether the loan is from the Federal Direct Loan Program (FDLP) or the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL).
It is not possible to consolidate a private student loan with a federal loan. They can be consolidated only through a private loan consolidation through a commercial lender.
As the direct loans servicing centre will tell you, if you are delinquent or have defaulted in your payments, you can consolidate such loans only after fulfilling certain requirements. This requires you to make at least three voluntary, on time, consecutive payments to existing lender prior to applying for consolidation.
Defaulters can also consolidate loans under the FDLP Income Contingent Repayment Plan where their income, amount borrowed and size of family are taken into account to adjust monthly payment amount.

Why the World Will Always Need Music
We human beings are emotional creatures. We are moved by creativity, and we have the inherent drive to be creative ourselves. We are instinctually drawn to rhythm. The measures and the melodies we prefer might differ, but our fascination with them is universal. Before we ever draw our first breath of air, we are soothed by the rhythmic sound of our mother’s heartbeat while inside the womb. Practically every person we may come across will have their favourite music that inspires them, but we would be hard pressed to find someone with the capacity to hear and feel it, who does not enjoy any form of music at all.
How bland and dull life would be without music. It is a phenomenon that is able to powerfully stir our emotions. It impacts us on numerous levels; emotionally, socially, spiritually and physiologically. It is quite amazing how something that cannot be seen or physically grasped can have such a profound impact on our senses. Like the wind that rustles the leaves on a tree, music resonates with the fabric of humanity and compels us to pay attention.
It is an increasingly evident fact that music significantly contributes towards mental and emotional well-being. It is used in psychotherapy and psychiatry to restore balance and calm to psychological conditions that disrupt our bodies natural equilibrium. It is able to soothe and calm, and bring about restoration in facets of life that no surgeon’s scalpel can reach. Listening to our favourite songs transports us back to memorable moments in our lives…moments that define our experience and even our identity to a degree. The song to which lovers first danced. The track that was playing when we were first kissed. The lullaby our mother or father sang to us as we fell asleep cradled safely in their arms. Imagine our favourite movies without their accompanying soundtrack…how robbed of energy and feeling they would be. Birds without song, lyrics without melody…it all makes for a very depressing picture.
Music is integral in helping us identify our personal social niche. It helps us form bonds and relationships with those who share our tastes and interests, thereby inspiring community and a sense of belonging. It documents the progression of shifts in culture and society, and is itself in a constant state of evolution as old sounds and technologies are blended with new ones, steadily reshaping the present and catapulting us towards the future. There is also an increasing degree to which music influences other disciplines like cinema, fashion and art…even politics. The civil rights movement in America and the rebellion against the apartheid regime in South Africa are just two examples of profound cultural, social and political chapters in world history in which music gave voice and expression to the laments of the downtrodden. It strengthens, motivates and comforts.
As long as the human being experiences feelings and emotions that need expression, music will be a crucial component of giving voice to those sentiments. There are those who believe that music is the result of heaven kissing earth, and that it is one of the supernatural and eternal gifts that we carry with us from this life into the next.

Eligibility Criteria for a Dental Assistant
Dental assistants are often as feared and hated as dentists themselves! But this does not go to say that their career is not a noble one. Dental assistants, like dentists, do everything they can to save your teeth from any kind of trouble they may have landed themselves in! They perform quite a number of dental assistant duties relating to patient care, office and laboratory work.
What They Do
Dental assistants work closely with dentists and are most times supervised by them. But do not confuse dental assistants with dental hygienists; they are commissioned to perform an entirely new set of duties! Surprised by the amount of work your teeth require?
Well, hereâs something else you didnât know, Americans have the worst teeth in the world! Itâs true, our teeth are not that great, and stats say that our nation has the highest number of dental patients in the world, making our dentists the richest doctors around!
How To Make Your CDs and DVDs Last Longer
Keeping your CDs and DVDs in good condition is crucial to their longevity. It can be very frustrating when you discover that your audio CD that you haven’t played in a year now skips in your player. CD and DVD media can realistically over 10 years if handled and stored properly. You should also do the following:
When you buy blank media always purchase high quality, Grade A discs. You do get what you pay for in this market. In my opinion, the best manufacturers are Taiyo Yuden, Sony and Verbatim.
Write on your media with pens specially designed for CDs and DVDs. If you write with a regular ballpoint pen, you might damage the recording layer of the disc. Either the pressure from the tip of then pen will cause damage or, over the time, the ink from the pen will seep into the disc.
Don’t store your media in high temperatures. I have known clients who store their media in shelves above their heaters. Although optical media can theoretically withstand temperatures as high as 50 degrees Celsius, it is best to keep the ambient temperature around 25 degrees. Store the discs in paper wallets or plastic casing such as clam shells to prevent dust and scratches. Also, try to hold the outside edges of the disc when you transport it from case to drive and back again.
Don’t use paper labels on your media. This is especially important for discs that you use frequently or that might stay in your drive. It can get very hot in a CD or DVD drive. The heat of the drive, plus the spinning of the disc as it is read by the laser, can cause the labels to start to bubble and then peel. The balance of the disc will be disrupted and you will receive read errors. Even worse, the disc could become stuck in the drive. Another reason to stay away from these labels is the adhesive used can eventually seep into the reflective and dye layers of the disc rendering it useless.

The Origins Of A Coat Of Arms

Few people know the origins of coats of arms. Most will have seen pictures of knights with shields decorated with various designs and the common myth is that these decorations were just for show. On the contrary, there was an excellent reason for decorating those shields; so that others would know who was within all that armour!

In those days knights or nobles went off to fight with their own band of men and, once the battle was raging, it was impossible to say who was inside all those suits of armour. So that the normal grew that the shields would be decorated so that the knight’s men could rally around their leader and they could fight as a unit. As well as the shield, knights wore a ’surcoat’, a linen garment that covered the top half of the suit of armour. That too was decorated and the term ’surcoat’ shortly came to be called the coat of arms.

Today many folks hang shields in their houses finished with their family coat of arms. The shields are smaller compared to those carried by the knights and those that hung in the medieval bankquetting halls, but then today’s houses are smaller too!

Criteria for Becoming an Interior Designer
Interior designing is not a new concept; it’s been around for ages. For thousands of years people have been organizing and designing their homes to meet their requirements. By the eighteenth century, Europe was home to many, many renowned interior designers who were called to design the homes of the nobility or public buildings. The interior design job outlook is good so it’s still a flourishing career option in today’s day and age.
Drawing Skills
If you’re considering a career in interior design, then first and foremost, you must be a good artist. This is simply because drawing up plans and designs and coming up with good sketches of the space you are going to design is a must. You need to show your client exactly what he is paying you for! For those of you who are not blessed with artistic skills, then there’s always AutoCAD and a laptop!
Creativity
Next, you need to have an eye for detail and good spatial awareness. This means that you must be able to visualize what looks good in a particular setting. Of course, for this, you must have good imaginative abilities. A sense of color and lighting combinations is also essential if you want to make a living designing interiors.
The Difference between DVD Duplication and DVD Replication
Disc production is an economical and manageable means for large data storage and distribution. Daily, disc production companies deal with client inquiries on whether there is any difference if the data is copied using DVD Duplication or DVD Replication. For the layman, it seems practically the same. The thesaurus would even deem the two as synonyms. However, knowing what makes each different from one another allows one to choose correctly based on their needs. Differences may include cost-effectiveness with regards to quantity of production and required turnaround times.
DVD Duplication is also known as âburningâ. Data is etched onto recordable DVD-R media using a small laser found in drive burners or duplication machines/towers. This process is convenient to use (quick lead time), easily accessible and widely available (can be done at home using personal computers or laptops), and is less expensive than replication due to the minimal setup costs. If a small number of discs are required, usually less than 1000 units, duplication is the preferred process. Â If producing discs for use on a standalone DVD player, clients should be aware that there is a small chance of older players not being capable of reading DVD-R media. This is very rare now but still a small possibility which must be highlighted before an order is placed.
DVD Replication is also known as pressing. It is a professional manufacturing process where raw materials run through large disc-molding machines that produce the basic DVD. Glass masters are created from the client supplied original masters. Data is then physically stamped or pressed into the disc. After which, a protective layer of lacquer is spun onto the disc then later hardened using ultraviolet light. Most of the processes involved here are automated therefore factoring in the cost per unit. This method is best used for mass production typically with a minimum requirement of one thousand copies per production. Â Replication also has a longer lead time with turnarounds usually of two weeks or more.
One can easily tell if a DVD was duplicated or replicated just by examining the discâs recorded surface. A duplicated disc will be purple coloured underneath due to the dyes found below the reflector. Replicated discs will be silver underneath because of the aluminum that was used to coat the disc. Rest assured the quality of copied content and integrity of data is practically the same between the two. Generally speaking, the main difference lies in the manufacturing processes and the length of time needed for production
